The built-in desk contains everything one could need; file drawers, drawers sized to carry full sheets of drawing paper, and many adjustable shelves. A richly stained walnut desktop coordinates with the built-in bench across the room, and panel door and drawer fronts complement the face frame design. As with the bench, the desk was coped around the existing baseboard to preserve it.
