Solara Dining Table

An off-center hole with bark outlining provided a unique opportunity for functionality and beauty. This "interruption" in the wood created a myriad of patterns and figures, including what looks like a solar flare. An inset piece of 1" thick resin with Ginko leaves and reeds cast inside is set in from the underside, and is perfect for placing a cold bowl or drink without affecting the wood.

Product Information

This one of a kind cross-cut slab of Ghost Maple is set off by its dark live edges; usually the edges angle under the table, but here they face up. See other post for more details on the base.
