Bubinga Dining Table Design
Initially the table was 8' long (the length of the wood), which called for a center support, as seen in designs. As it continued, we decided to cut each end into a leaf extension for the added length when desired, without breaking up the grain of the table.

The idea for this table came about from finding a stunning slab of Bubinga (see “PROCESSES”) to view the cutting and selecting process of a 5′ diameter exotic wood tree.
